Facemaker Exhibition @ Royal/T Recap
Culver City gallery space/cafe Royal/T opened a new exhibition this past week, curated by The Hole NYC director Kathy Grayson. Coinciding with the opening of the MOCA “Art in the Streets” showcase in Los Angeles, “Facemaker” focuses more on the pop-art side of things as opposed to the heavily street-centric nature of the MOCA show. Featured artists for this exhibition include Shepard Fairey, Barry McGee, Kenny Scharf, KAWS and SWOON, alongside Clare Rojas, FriendsWithYou, Ben Jones and others. Shots of “Facemaker” can be seen below, courtesy of Brandon Shigeta.
